Biography:
Matthew Sykes is a singer/songwriter/producer from Johnson City, TN. As a solo artist, Matthew began releasing albums under his own name on the Bandcamp platform in 2012.  There you will find years of work and growth from a musician who has never stopped recording. The early albums find a young high school kid holed up in his parents basement recording lo-fi garage rock into a single microphone and a laptop.  As they years go by you'll spot the moments of growth for Matthew both as a musician and a producer. In 2016 Matthew released Explore the Drip, the last album on Bandcamp before he would take a break to focus on his bands.  After a two year break from solo recording, Matthew returned with an all new album in 2018, Here, Take This. Fifteen all new tracks from Matthew's extensive back catalog of unreleased music and his first proper release on major streaming services. Since then, Matthew has released a string of singles and his latest EP, As Seen. Five re-recorded tracks from his catalog that were given new life with his new knowledge of production and recording.
