Biography:
Brought up in the foothills of the Appalachian mountains & raised on DIY punk house shows, Jacob Danielsen-Moore is a songwriter with more than just a fire in his belly. Successfully merging the punk folk of Chuck Ragan & Frank Turner with the catchy melodies of the Goo Goo Dolls, Danielsen-Moore (formerly of Sundale & Dullside) writes melancholy songs you’ll want to learn & play for your friends. In other words, you’ll be singing along by the second chorus, but each verse will almost bring you to tears with their honest & relatable lyrics that Moore tosses around like an afterthought. On his debut EP, Life and Death at the Mouth of No Business, Jacob’s subject matter brings to mind the words on Woody Guthrie’s infamous guitar. The belief that ideas can change the world and one turn of phrase could change your life. The lyrics convey the struggles of familiar friends you may recognize, while the strum of a guitar takes it all back to the lonely bedroom of a young man with something to prove. Each song is a story told with the wisdom of someone who’s been there, but maybe didn’t always win. Strong emotions conveyed with just wood, steel, and soul.
